Mallorca International School stands in a privileged natural setting in the urbanisation of Crestatx at the foothills of the Tramuntana mountain range. Surrounded by the hills, forested areas, a small church and a collection of villas, the school site provides a very safe environment which the children can enjoy and relax away from the bustle of the city.
The Early Years Foundation Stage and Primary Phase encompass bright, modern classrooms complete with interactive whiteboards, audio equipment and a wide range of educational resources to meet individual needs. Furthermore, they have access to a fully-equipped computer suite incorporating an individual computer for each child with tactile screen and a well-equipped art room. The EYFS children benefit from a specialised outdoor learning area complete with many stimulating resources and installations, many made from reclaimed materials, which inspire and facilitate learning. Primary School students benefit from two playgrounds and a sports court including climbing frames and benches to sit and enjoy the outdoor space.
Secondary classrooms are larger purpose built facilities providing the necessary workspace as the students grow. In addition to standard rooms the students enjoy use of a specialist laboratory as well as an art room. Physical Education is conducted at the nearby and expansive Poliesportiu complex in Sa Pobla. As the Secondary School expands the school’s facilities are expanding. Two phases of development are complete and two are scheduled which will incorporate the addition of 5 more standard classrooms, a new art and design studio as well as smaller individual support rooms. The final phase of the project will be completed in August 2021.
